Arambol Dusk, 1979: Original Painting
Arambol Dusk, 1979 is a nostalgic interpretation of Arambol Beach at dusk, inspired by the distinctive landscape, silhouettes and atmosphere of Goa in the late 1970s, and by Nasya's archive, Vintage Goa Memories.
The painting captures the transition from evening light into dusk through layered shades of deep and luminous blue. A darkened coastal silhouette rests against the fading sky, with a crescent moon and Venus appearing above the horizon. Small human figures along the landscape add a quiet sense of scale and movement, evoking the slower, more intimate atmosphere of Goa of that era.
The work is part of Nasya Pereira’s ongoing exploration of Goa through memory, place and imagined fragments of its past.
